Does the list give you the number and size of nails, screws, bolts etc? If these items are left out of plans it can be very costly.
Drawings and Photos
Do the plans have drawings? Are the drawings very detailed and in color? Do the drawings include different elevations? Is there a rafter template? Are the drawings very clear and easy to follow? Are there details about door jams and flashing? Are there photos to show you exactly how it is supposed to look?
Clear Instructions
Are the instructions very detailed? Do they walk you through every step? Do the instructions tell you how to cut each and every piece of lumbar? Do the plans include skid, joint and stud placement? Are there instructions on building a wall frame?
Foundation and Roofing
Do the plans give details on the type of foundation required? What type of roof does it have, shingles, tin, or is the roof flat?
Support
Is there a number you can call or an email address where you can ask questions?
All of the above are very important features when you are looking for the right set of outdoor storage shed plans.
